Puff pastry sheet – 1
For egg wash
Egg – 1
Water – 2 tsp
In a small bowl, beat the egg and water.
For cinnamon sugar
Sugar – 3 tbsp
Cinnamon powder – 3/4 tsp
Combine sugar and cinnamon powder in a small bowl.
Thaw the puff pastry sheet according to the package instructions.
Brush the surface with egg wash (you can brush it with melted butter instead).
Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on the puff pastry sheet.
Using a knife or pizza cutter, halve and cut into strips.
Twist both the ends and place on a greased or parchment lined baking sheet.
Brush the tops of the twists with egg wash.
Bake at 400 F for 12 – 14 mts. Serve as is or with chocolate dip or glaze.
For the glaze
Confectioners sugar – 1/3 cup
Milk – 1 – 1.5 tbsp
Vanilla extract – 1/2 tsp
Combine the above ingredients for the glaze. Serve with cinnamon twists.
