Ingredients (Serves 2)
Unsweetened cocoa powder – 3 tbsp
Sugar – 3 – 4 tbsp, depending on how sweet you like it
Salt – 1 pinch
Whole milk – 2 cups
Vanilla extract – 1/2 tsp
Method
In a medium saucepan, combine the cocoa powder, sugar, salt and about 1/4 cup milk. Cook over medium-low heat stirring constantly until well-combined. Add in the remaining milk and heat over medium, stirring constantly until hot (do not boil). Add in the vanilla extract. Mix well. Transfer the hot cocoa to a mug. Top with mini marshmallows or sweetened whipped cream and serve immediately.
