Ingredients
1. Bread slices – 6
2. Paneer – 300 gm, cut into three 1/2 inch flat pieces
3. Yogurt –1.5 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Kashmiri chilly powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder –1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder
Kasuri methi – 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice – 3/4 tsp
Salt – To taste
4. Butter
5. Onion thinly sliced
Capsicum – 1/4 cup, thinly sliced
For green chutney
6. Grated coconut – 1/4 cup
Green chilly – 1
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Mint leaves – 10- 15
Cilantro – 2 –3 tbsp
Salt – To taste
Method
1. Combine all the ingredients numbered 2. Taste-check for salt. Marinate the paneer pieces with this mixture and set aside for 20 minutes.
2. Heat 1.5 tbsp oil in a pan and fry paneer pieces until golden brown on both sides.
3. Apply butter on the bread slices. Spread green chutney on one side of a bread slice.
Top it with fried paneer, sliced onion and capsicum. Grill until done. Cut inro triangles and serve immediately with ketchup.
Tip
If you don’t have a sandwich maker, heat a tawa on medium heat, place the assembled sandwich and press down with a spatula or place a heavy weight on top until golden brown on both sides.
