Baked / Roasted Broccoli

Ingredients

Broccoli florets – 3 cups (cut into medium sized florets)

Crushed chili flakes – 1/2 tsp

Garlic powder – 1/4 tsp

Salt and pepper – To taste

Oil – 1.5 tbsp (I used avocado oil)

Method

Preheat oven at 450 F.

Line a baking sheet lined with foil and lightly grease with oil.  Toss broccoli with all the other ingredients (I usually do this step on the baking sheet itself as its easier). Arrange the broccoli florets on the baking sheet cut / flat side down for crisp edges.

Bake at 450 F for 12 minutes. Flip to the other side (this step is optional) and bake for around 8 minutes. Turn the oven to broil mode. Broil for 2 – 3 minutes until the edges are charred and slightly crisp. Serve warm.  It tastes yum..do give it a try!
