Ingredients (Serves 2)
Brown or white Aval / Beaten(flattened rice)/Rice flakes /Thin poha – 2 cups
Grated coconut – 3/4 – 1 cup
Jaggery – 5 cubes or around 1/2 cup, grated or to taste (You can replace it with sugar)
Cardamom powder – 1 – 2 pinches (Optional)
Method
Combine the first three ingredients well using your fingers(njeruduka) until the rice flakes are soft and wet, about 6 – 8 minutes. If it is dry, sprinkle 1 – 2 tbsp milk. Sprinkle cardamom powder and mix well. You can also add some roasted cashews and vermicelli, if you like. Bring everything to the middle. Keep covered for at least 20 minutes. Serve with sliced ripe banana.
