Strawberries – 20 – 24, washed and dried well
Semi-sweet / milk chocolate chips – 1 cup
Vegetable oil – 2.5 tsp
1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper or wax paper.
2. Place the chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a bowl. Fill a saucepan with 2 inches of water and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Set the bowl of chocolate over the simmering water to melt (make sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the simmering water). Stir until smooth. Once the chocolates are melted and smooth, remove from heat.
3. Holding the strawberry by the stem carefully, dip the fruit into the smooth chocolate mixture, lift and twist slightly, letting any excess chocolate fall back into the bowl. Place them on the parchment paper. Repeat with the remaining strawberries. Sprinkle some Himalayan pink salt / sea salt on top, its optional. Set aside for 1 hour until set completely (or keep in the refrigerator for 30 minutes).
