
Ingredients
- Shrimp – 400 gm, cleaned
2. Oil – 2 tsp + butter – 2 – 3 tsp
3. Oil – 1 tsp
For blackened seasoning
- Paprika – 2 tsp
- Regular chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
- Garlic powder – 1/2 tsp
- Onion powder – 1/2 tsp
- Dried thyme – 1/4 tsp
- Dried basil – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – As requiredMethod
1. In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients for blackened seasoning.
2. Clean and rinse the shrimp well. Pat dry with a paper towel. Add blackened seasoning and 1 tsp oil to the shrimp. Toss well. Let rest for 15 minutes.
3. Heat 2 tsp oil and 2 tsp butter in a cast iron pan over high or medium-high heat. Cook shrimp in 2 – 3 batches for 1 – 1.5 mts on each side until cooked through. Remove to a paper towel Serve immediately.
