I had mentioned in my brussel sprouts thoran post that I will post the recipe for oven-roasted brussels sprouts soon. So here is the recipe. I got the basic recipe from SimplyRecipes to which I made one or two minute changes. I sliced the sprouts lengthwise, added garlic salt instead of minced garlic and baked it at 400 F. It is a really simple and healthy dish. You can also arrange them on skewers and grill. Hope you like it.
- Brussel Sprouts – 18 – 20 halved lengthwise
- Black pepper powder – 1tsp
- Garlic salt – To taste (You can also use garlic powder and salt)
- Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp
- Olive oil – As required
1. Clean and chop the brussel sprout stems and remove any outer layers which are yellow or wilted. Cut the brussel sprouts in middle. Mix the brussel sprouts with the ingredients mentioned above.
2.Preheat the oven to 400 F and place the sprouts cut-side down. Bake for around 15 – 20 mts or until the brussels turn brown and soft. Serve immediately.
YT, Baking sounds different !! Sprouts look healthy !! Had only very few recipes with them, adding this now.
