Ingredients (Serves 5)
1. Grated coconut – 1/2 cup
Ginger – 1/2 – 3/4 inch, roughly chopped
Green chilies – 2, chopped
Salt – To taste
2. Yoghurt – 1/2 cup or as required
3. Coconut oil – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
Dried red chilly – 1, broken
Curry leaves – A few
Method
1. Grind all the ingredients numbered 1 adding 1 – 2 tbsp yoghurt to a fine paste (not very fine). Transfer to a bowl. Add yoghurt and mix well. Taste-check for salt.
2. Heat oil in a small pan. Splutter mustard seeds and fry dried red chilies and curry leaves. Pour this seasoning over the curry. Serve with rice.
