Ingredients
Potato (yukon gold, russet etc) – 2 medium, peeled and cut into large cubes
Butter – 3 – 4 tsp
Heavy cream – 1/4 – 1/3 cup
Garlic powder – 1 pinch (optional)
Salt and pepper – To taste
Method
Peel and cut the potatoes into large cubes. Boil water in a saucepan. Cook the potato cubes for around 15 minutes till tender (do not overcook). Drain well. Transfer to the same saucepan. Mash using a potato masher. Add salt, butter , garlic powder (optional) and cream. Continue to mash till it gets a smooth, creamy consistency. Add more cream or milk, if required. Add pepper powder and salt, if required. Serve warm with steak/grilled chicken.
