Ingredients

1. Rice / ari puttu – Two pieces, (Around 2.5 cups crushed)
2. Onion – 1 small, chopped
Green chilies – 2, finely chopped
Ginger – 2 tsp, chopped
Curry leaves – A few
3. Gravy of mutton curry, chicken curry , egg curry or any spicy curry – 3/4 – 1 cup
4. Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Dried red chilies – 2, broken
5. Eggs – 2
6. Coconut oil – 2 – 3 tsp
Method
1. Heat oil in a cheena chatti or any pan at medium heat. Splutter mustard seeds and fry dry red chilies. Add chopped onion, green chilies, ginger, little salt and curry leaves. Saute for about 3 – 4 minutes or until the onion starts turning light brown . Add the eggs. Scramble them. When they are 3/4th done, add the crushed puttu and mix everything well. Finally add the gravy (I used chicken gravy) . Mix everything well. Cook for a few minutes at low heat. Switch off. Serve hot with a cup of tea.
Quite a new dish for me, simply irresistible.
