Ingredients (Serves 3 – 4)
1. Shrimp – 20 – 25, cleaned
2. Chilly powder – 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder – 1/4 tsp
Garlic powder – 2 pinches
Salt and pepper – To taste
3. All purpose flour – 1/4 cup
4. Egg – 1 – 2, beaten with a pinch of salt and pepper
5. Bread crumbs (plain and panko bread crumbs) – 1/2 cup each (Combine panko and plain bread crumbs in a plate)
Method
1. Marinate shrimp with ingredients numbered 2 for at least 30 minutes.
2. Working with one at a time, dip the shrimp in all purpose flour, then in the beaten egg and finally in the bread crumbs, pressing to coat.
3. Deep-fry shrimp in 2 – 3 batches until brown and crisp, about 3 – 4 minutes. Serve immediately with ketchup / sweet chilli sauce.
